Qualification Outline:
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, who provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing. Workers promote a person-centred approach, work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

Entry Requirements
There are no pre-requisites to enter this training program. However, Arizona College has set entry requirements for prospective students according to the following criteria:
Students:
- must be 18 years, or older
- must complete LLN test and satisfactorily achieve ACSF level 3* or above, to enrol in this qualification
- must be an Australian resident, or hold a current and valid visa with study rights
* ACSF Level 3 is equivalent to completion of senior secondary school studies.
Duration
This course is scheduled to be completed in up to 52 weeks, depending on the learner’s relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
